Jnana-Yoga is a spiritual discipline that arrives at the renunciation of that which is unreal through the systematic discrimination between the real and the unreal. By the process of reasoning, one realizes the Universal Truth. This branch of yoga is part of the foundation of Kundalini Maha Yoga.*

Vivekananda begins with an examination of the real nature of man and leads the reader through the topics of Maya and freedom, unity in diversity, God in everything, the freedom of the soul, the cosmos (macrocosm and microcosm), immortality, the bondage and freedom of Atman, the real and apparent man, and four chapters entitled “Practical Vedanta”.

This revised edition of Jnana-Yoga is taken from Vivekananda: The Yogas and Other Works (1953) and includes new content in the form of additional lectures. This text, along with Karma-Yoga and Bhakti-Yoga and Raja-Yoga, makes a full set of this edition.

Paper bound 308 pages with Glossary and Index.

* Kundalini Maha Yoga is the path to self-realization (enlightenment) through the awakening of the Kundalini Shakti, the divine energy that resides in all of us. Awakened it creates the conditions for spiritual progress and ultimately samadhi. The full potential of the body and mind may then be realized, inner peace attained, and the sublime truth of unity in diversity experienced—the fact that all life is one seamless fabric.
