From the beginning, pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow have beset human nature. Upon close examination, man’s portion has been more sorrow and less happiness. Man is prey to a host of unsated desires, and there are many attendant obstacles in the way of their fulfillment. Fear is born out of expectation and anxiety about the outcome. Sorrow mounts slowly but cumulatively.

He who has attained enlightenment feels the fullness of his own experience and the sufficiency of consciousness unto itself. In this state of self-realization, his desiring self comes to rest, and the happiness he achieves is without equal and beyond expectation.

Raja Yoga points the way to this peace. It can be had through scientific means and it can be found while pursuing worldly vocations. Meditation enables the yogi to perceive all things as imbued with a divine meaningfulness. The proof of the scientific rigor of this method is that, whatever the intention of the practitioner, it leads unfailingly to the end of self-realization.

* Kundalini Maha Yoga is the path to self-realization (enlightenment) through the awakening of the Kundalini Shakti, the divine energy that resides in all of us. Awakened it creates the conditions for spiritual progress and ultimately samadhi.
